Vizma Petrovskis, nee Strazdins, age 83, of Chicago, passed away April 3, 2016 at the Lawless Hospice Unit of St. Mary’s Ozuakee, Mequon, WI. Beloved wife of the late Janis Petrovskis; fond sister of the late Janis (Daina) Strazdins, loving mother of Ed Petrovskis (Shirin Charkhkar, Donna, Armin), Laura (Rich) Weber, John Petrovskis; proud grandmother of Doug Weber (Kolina Cicero), John Leo Weber, Krystal Petrovskis, and Nicole Petrovskis; cherished aunt of the late Ingrid Kleinschmidt, Ruta (Tim) Murphy, Arnis Strazdins, the late Zigis Strazdins; Godmother of Uldis Ozolins; fond great aunt of Jeff Kleinschimidt and Julie Shirey; dear friend of the late Raymond Grikis. Vizma leaves behind dear relatives in Latvia, and many treasured friends, especially those from the Chicago Latvian Zion Lutheran Church and Presence Resurrection Retirement Community. A Celebration of the life of Vizma Petrovskis will take place at Chicago Latvian Zion Lutheran Church,6551 W. Montrose Ave., Chicago, IL 60637, on Friday, April 8, 2016 with Memorial Visitation 10:00 am, Memorial Service 11:00 am, and a Celebration Luncheon following the memorial service
