Tony Symon

Tony Symon, age 66, of Chicago passed away February 23, 2022. Loving husband of Betsy, nee Klingler, for 39 years; dear son of the late Albin and Irene; loving son-in-law of Omi; fond brother of Jules Symon and the late Kenny; cherished uncle of Taylor (Joe), Alex, and Nick (Tiffany); proud papa of "fur babies" Mackie and Sammie. Tony fought a long, hard battle with his illnesses, but God needed him in heaven. Tony's love for music started at a young age. He started playing in garage bands at the age of 14. He played at many neighborhood bars almost every Friday and Saturday for years and loving every minute of it. When he became ill, his guitars were always within his sight. Tony was a best friend to so many and his love will shine on forever. Until we meet again, I will always be looking up. Visitation Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 2 pm until time of funeral service 7 pm at Matz Funeral Home, 3440 N. Central Ave., Chicago. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association appreciated.
