Sophie T. Goworowski, age 97, of Chicago passed away April 30, 2017. Beloved daughter of the late Alexander and Louise, nee Walendziewicz; fond sister of Ben Emily) , the late Stanley (the late Anna), the late Harriet (the late Kenney) McCann, and the late Steve(Lillian); cherished aunt, godmother and friend of many. A member of St. James Parish since 1944. Sophie was active in local senior clubs after retiring from the Post Office in 1984. Visitation Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 3-9 pm at Matz Funeral Home, 3440 N. Central Ave., Chicago. Funeral Friday 9: 15 am from the funeral home to St. James Church. Mass 10 am. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Rainbow Hospice or Mercy Home for Bays and Girls appreciated.
