Melvin N. Hartman, age 77, of Franklin Grove, IL formerly of Chicago passed away November 22, 2016. Beloved husband of Lenore, nee Roman, for 58 years;dear and loving father of Kim (Mike), Laura (Gary), Nancy (Joe), Lenore (Bob), and Kenneth (Lydia); proud Papa of 15 and Grandpapa of Colin:dearest brother of Norman (Alice), and the late Kenneth and Juanita; Loving cousin and uncle to many as well as a dear Godfather. Melvin was a longtime employee of Zenith Electronics of Chicago with 39 years of service. Visitation Friday, November 25, 2016 from 3-9 pm at Matz Funeral Home, 3440 N. Central Ave., Chicago. Funeral Saturday 9:30 am from the funeral home to St. Ferdinand Church. Mass 10 am. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
