Joseph W. Hoch, age 94, of Chicago passed away December 18, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Margaret for 70 years; dear father of Joyce (Michael) McGinniss, Diane (David) Skowronski, Linda (Chuck) Jernt, and Joseph (Lynn); proud grandfather of Laura, Dennis, Jason, Lynn (Jon), Barry, Chris (Emily), Laurel, and Catie (Jesse); great-grandfather of Xander, Sophia, Autumn, Elena, and Oliver; dear son of the late Henry and Mary Hoch; fond brother of Margaret Hoch and the late Henry (June) Hoch. Joseph was a life member of Skokie Valley VFW Post #3854 and a member of the St. Anthony da Padua Knights of Columbus. Visitation Monday, December 27, 2021 from 8 am until time of funeral prayers 9:30 am at Matz Funeral Home, 3440 N. Central Ave., Chicago proceeding to St. Ferdinand Church. Mass 10 am. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
