Visitation for Frank E. Zartler,80,will be Monday April 29, from 3-9 p.m. at Matz Funeral Home, 410 E. Rand Rd.,Mt.Prospect, where services will be held Tuesday April 30, at 11:30 a.m. Private Interment. Franks was born on Nov.22,1932 to Andrew and Johanna Zartler in Chicago. On May 7,1955 he married the love of his life, Carmen Porraz. He served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He worked for Hollub Heating & Air Conditioning for over 50 years before retiring due to Parkinson's Disease. Frank and Carmen traveled all over the world during their 56 years together. He loved life and he loved people. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. He was a generous and kind man who was everyone's friend and always put others before himself. He was always there to lend a hand to family, friends and neighbors. He was lovingly called "Fix it Frank" and if he couldn't fix it nobody could. Frank was the beloved and cherished husband of the late Carmen. Left to honor and remember him are his daughters, Gloria(Jim)Barletta, Jeni(Brad)White and son,Drew(Debbie)Zartler; his grandchildren, Bill Rueffer, Angela Rueffer, Amanda Schultz, David Zartler, Victoria(Ben)Johnson, Kristina Zartler and Francesca(Jimmy Jordan); his great grandchildren, Dylan Rueffer, Brett Rueffer,Blake Rueffer, and soon to be born Baby Johnson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
